Alaina's blooming heart

Alaina sat one 8 hr session for this piece at Hell City, we may go back into it one short session in October and get a healed photo. She was inspired by an old Dali painting that is actually very hard to find. The piece by Dali is nothing like this, his had an anatomical heart blooming out of a heavy leafy vine, with small veins throughout the piece. Seemed like a very early Dali piece. I basically took the blooming idea and the heart subject in making my own design. We felt the symbolism behind the lotus flower was a proper choice to have blooming out of the veins and arteries of an anatomical heart. Thank you Alaina for the creative freedom, I had a lot of fun!!
