Here is the second installment on a piece started a year ago at the Austin, TX convention. One of my favorite things to do is revisit pieces to build up color, detail, and saturation in layers. Refining already healed work allows a piece to evolve and develop subtlety and complexity usually impossible in single-pass techniques. This closely mimics how I paint, making it a natural and intuitive process. Click on the 'view detail image' link to see the first session of the tattoo.
